Privacy Policy — Network Intelligence for Instagram
Last updated: 4 October 2026
The short version
Everything this extension collects stays in your browser, on your device. There is no server, no account, no analytics and no third-party code. Nobody, including the developer, receives your data.
What it reads
- Your own followers and following lists, only when you start a collection. It reads them through the Instagram session you are already logged into, the same way instagram.com does when you open those lists, at a similar pace.
- The follower/following totals shown on your own profile page, so it can tell you how complete a collection is.
- Profile details for people you choose (bio, follower/following/post counts, account type, website), only when you click Load details: one request per person, at most 200 per run and 500 per day.
- Header values and one request format Instagram's own page uses: its app and session identifiers, and a copy of the request instagram.com makes for its own profile-details query (including its session tokens), so the extension's requests match Instagram's and profile details can be loaded for the people you choose. These stay in the Instagram tab's memory and are never stored or sent anywhere.
- Files you choose to import from Instagram's "Download your information" export. Only the followers and following lists inside them are read.
For each account in those lists it keeps what Instagram shows in the list: username, full name, numeric user id, verified and private status, whether the profile picture is the default one, and the current profile-picture link, plus any profile details you chose to load. It also records when the extension observed each account, and any tags, notes and saved views you add.
What it never does
- It never asks for, reads or stores your Instagram password.
- It never follows, unfollows, likes, comments or messages anyone.
- It never sends your data to any server. The only site it contacts is instagram.com, from your own logged-in tab, and only to read your lists.
- It never collects in the background unless you turn on automatic snapshots in Settings. Even then it only runs when an Instagram tab is already open and logged in to the same account, at most once a day, at the same pace; it never opens Instagram by itself.
Where data is kept
In the browser's local extension storage (IndexedDB) on your device, separated per Instagram account. Exports (CSV, Excel, JSON) are files you save yourself.
Profile pictures are off by default. If you turn them on in Settings, the dashboard loads the pictures from Instagram's image servers, which then see those requests.
Deleting your data
Settings → Delete all data removes every account, snapshot, unfinished collection, tag, note and saved view. Uninstalling the extension also deletes it.
